PHOTO IONIZATION DETECTOR (PID GLASS BODIES)
A SMALL FRACTION OF THE ANALYTE MOLECULES ARE ACTUALLY IONIZE
The current generated provides a measure of the analyte concentration. Because only a small fraction of the analytemolecules are actually ionized, this method is considered nondestructive, allowing it to be used in conjunction with another detector to confirm analytical results. In addition, PIDs are available in portable hand-held models and in a number of lamp configurations. Results are almost immediate. Moores Glassworks manufacture glass bodies for PIDs. They are manufactured on automated lathes which have been built in house. These auto lathes produce excellent quality and also allow Moores to repeat this high standard which is very important when manufacturing high yields. All glass bodies are manufactured to the customers requirements.
