Cathode Ray Tube Envelopes, Cathode Ray Tube casings are manufactured to customers’ specifications in diameters ranging from 25mm to 175mm with round or rectangular faceplates.
The precision necks with bore and O.D accurate to ±0.01mm are produced in-house and are sealed to body sections fabricated from tubing or, in the case of square tubes, to mould blown bodies.
Close tolerances have to be observed in order to maintain the relative position of the electron gun assembly.
Faceplates may be of different glass types depending on the refractive index required as this can affect the position of the image plane, an important factor in the subsequent fibre optic coupling.
